We have recycled the dacron genoa (headsail) of Sumurun, a 28 meter ketch designed in 1914 by William Fife. Made from the headsail of this prestigious classic yacht, this series is limited and each piece is numbered.
Dacron is a polyester fiber that is not very sensitive to ultraviolet rays and weather. In sailing, this material is generally chosen for its resistance.
In our workshop in Lorient, Brittany, we collect everyday, through these sails, singular stories of navigations. Each sail has its own story, you can find it on the authentication sheet, present on the majority of our products. By giving a second life to the sails of boats, our team is commited for the protection of the environment. To learn more about sails, the raw material we recycle, please read our section on the life cycle of a sail.
727 Sailbags captures the spirit of travel and the timeless elegance of La Belle Plaisance from a bygone era with its exclusive limited series, Les Grands Classiques.
This unique collection of leather goods is crafted from the sails of iconic classic yachts, blending heritage and style.
